SO anyone of you read the short story Faith Hope and Charity? Because I did, long ago. ANd now I’ve lost the book it was in. I searched a LOT for it and I think it’s out of copyright now, but still can’t find it. Anyone has a link to a online version or something?

There is a selection of his stuff on Gutenberg, but unfortunately not the story you are looking for.
Google Creeps by Night - it's a short story collection with an introduction by Dashiell Hammett, I think your story is in that, but it's a costly purchase.
