i was seeeing maheen kardar interview on tv and she was saying that i dnt sujjest fair girls to wear mehroon color on their wedding b coz it make them look darker in lights and in photo session pictures…wt do u girls thnks…wts urs opinion on dis

I have seen alot of girls (fair) in red/ maroon. I think it looks good.

who cares if you look darker then your usual self? as long as it looks good on you :)

Really?? I find maroon and deep reds can make very fair girls look even fairer - almost ghostly!
But everyone should wear whatever colours they like, yes some colours dont work with all complexions but you can always work around that with make up or by having a more flattering colour closer to the face

I think dark maroon combined with very fair skin can look very dated -- it is a very 90s look. I don't think it makes fair brides look dark. Rather it makes them look pale and colorless, rather than healthy.

she meant "maroon". i also saw that on Dream team, i think what she tried to say is not that they shoulnd't wear it, but as far as bridal dress goes, it's not the type of colour that will make a girl with a fair complexion stand out, and they should go for lighter red like a red which has more pink in it.
i agree with her, obvisouly on a daily basis you wear whatever colour you want but i don't recommend maroon even for darker skins for baraat outfit, it can look a bit dull.

having said that, i felt that the dress the bride wore in that episode IS maroon or dark red, when it's definitaly not the type of colour she recommended so i don't understand why they would give her something they advise not to wear !

think it doesnt have to do with complexion rather with features and overall look. Some people carry the maroon look better, others look prettier in red....just because they do:)

ehhh no…the colour maybe intense for fair girls but they will most definetly not look dark :confused: thats ridiculous!!
