fair and lovely?

effective as a sunblock n makes u fair over time

but
causes hair growth on face, myth or truth?please help!

Re: fair and lovely?

i used to use it once upon a time , id idnt want to get fairer but i think it used to effect my zits? not anymore.

i believe its certainly a myth

Re: fair and lovely?

i don't know if it made u get more zits or erased them.

what i have noticed that it erases my zits. Infact they should market it as a pimple cream. I have used it should a pimple show up.

Also if I find any face cream too oily, I mix fair and lovely with it to mattify the oily face cream. Excellent makeup base as well.

I've used it for every other reason possible than its original intended purpose.

But is it really going to make u fair. I don't know. U would have to apply it regularly, and avoid the sun for it to be affective. Never heard of the increased facial hair growth thing though.

Re: fair and lovely?

^ it used to make them go away.

Re: fair and lovely?

From what I've heard it makes you fairer during the time you use it but it doesn't make you fair permanently. Also, if your skin is acne-prone, Fair and Lovely may cause you to break out.

Re: fair and lovely?

so instead ov buying a sun block and a base ...one wuld be better off using fair n lovely ..basically m lukin for somethin dat can be put on the face that luks fyn as a base n also protects frm the sun evryday...its cheaper than buyin a sunblock i guess...

Re: fair and lovely?

Does the Fair and Lovely product that you're considering purchasing have an SPF? Otherwise it probably won't provide your skin with a lot of protection from the sun. I think you'd be better off purchasing a moisturizer with SPF or mineral foundation.

Re: fair and lovely?

i think this topic has been discussed here quite alot, and what i have understood from it is that its very dangerous for your skin because it makes your skin thinner, and more sensitive to the sun resulting in even more problems!

Re: fair and lovely?

i used it once and started breaking out like crazy ..

Re: fair and lovely?

I used it once at a friend's place when i didn;t have my cream with me, it is too dry and makes you look ghostly.

Re: fair and lovely?

i used it the one tym cuz i loved the smell .. but it made me luk lyk a ghost

Re: fair and lovely?

I once got a tube when I visited Pakistan since it's notorious there. It didnt change my skin color, not that I got it for that since I am relatively quite light, but I did try it on my cuticles which can become slightly darker than the rest of your fingers and it worked good for that, I apply it right after my manicures.

Re: fair and lovely?

I on purpose used it only on one side of my face for many months. Yes it works

Re: fair and lovely?

thts crazy :hayaa:

:hehe:
later both sides were same:faizy:

Re: fair and lovely?

I've heard many stories that it makes your skin thinner. It also caused some freckles on my mums face :/ i sometimes use it on my feet after a shower if theyre looking a bit dark after being in the sun LOL it sometimes feels nice on my face but i dont really use it much. Never used it for the whole whitening effect :/

Re: fair and lovely?

Didn't know it had that thinning effect, actually. Is it b/c of the bleaching properties?

Re: fair and lovely?

Tbh i'm not entirely sure. It's just a lot of stories i've heard. May be because of the bleaching properties. I've actually never looked at the ingrediants tbh with you!
