ignore your parents if your happy with your skin colour stick to it dont lighten it and risk your health for their happiness plus even if you do lighten it sooner or later they may find something else to pick on you for do you want to continuously change yourself just to please others? Just tell them you love your skin colour and you dont want to be with a girl who is shallow enough to reject you for it anyway

That is what i should do. It’s just hard being darkest in my family and people openly saying what happened there. I can’t imagine how it is for girls. I can accept my skin and the colour it is but even on the colour thread all things people would choose the fairer person.
