Facts VS. Reality

Hollywood ka tho pata nahi, bollywood mein definetly banega, with hrithik, anyway he have relations with aliens

I have my reasons for that based on some facts :)

Re: Facts VS. Reality

Wow, I must be way out of touch in the space world. I had no idea that now Pluto isn't considered a planet? Why, how and when did the powers that be decide this?

do you have Darwin Theory in you Science books in your School ?

it was an azab on that quom and yes they turned in to apes.

ALLAH SWT always keep these "emblems" for the future generations....why because they dont repeat the same mistakes.

even though Quran talks about their "Hail-o-Hujat" clearly, but still western scientific revolution trying to suppress it because it was (and still it is) who ever has the word of God, gonna be considered nearer to him.

what Darwin proposed was actually a conjecture because the arrangement of animals and plants in taxonomic groups according to their observed similarities (including at least kingdom and phylum in animals, division in plants, and class, order, family, genus, and species)....you gonna observe a pattern which proves him to some extent that there is a progeny

but he didnt know ALLAH SWT her cheez per qadir hain. (and we cant really conclude any thing about the survival of that quom....as Ashab-e-Qaf might be still alive)

....as modern science still unable to figure out empirical premises of how human brain works!

ps. the only fact exist is our Kalima'a...rest of the universal facts are arguable, why because this is what we are made for :)

Just to make sure that your reference is correct. it is in Surah Baqarah and Surah Al Aa'raaf...

I do not know what do you wanna say in bold part. Do you agree with darwin or do you have a disagreement with what I am saying :)?

Re: Facts VS. Reality

you are quite right that facts don't become reality for us immediately but the example you gave was one of classification more than one of fact vs. reality. Fact is that there is a piece of rock somewhere out there that we call pluto... whether we classify it as a planet or put it in a different class is entirely up to us.

there was an interesting aside that arose during the conversation here, namely the phenomenon of evolution. Why do you not believe that such a process took place when there is endless evidence in support of it? The Qura'an does not negate the idea of evolution and I personally believe that such a process took place. The difference between my view and that of the scientists being that i believe such a process was guided by God whereas the scientists believe it proceeded on its own.

Qura'an is the word of God and science is the act of God. As such there can't be a conflict between the two. If there appears to be a conflict, it is superficial and due to our own lack of knowledge or wrong interpretation of the word of God. Denying a fact for the sake of a belief is exactly wot the church did against Galileo. Could it be that the belief that we hold dear as a fact is wrong in the present circumstances. It might not have been earlier but it is now. For example, until humans were able to make atomic bombs, the prophesies in the Qura'an regarding such a phenomenon couldn't be understood completely because human knowledge had not progressed to such an extent. So, while the prophesy was always there, its meaning became apparent when we gained the knowledge required to understand it. Same is the case for evolution. The Qura'an does not disallow such a process, it only ascertains that everything is a creation of God and didn't become wot it is independently, so while there is ample evidence in support of evolution we can't say that such a phenomenon goes against the word of the Qura'an.

Re: Facts VS. Reality

Quran does negate Evolution, when it talks about creation. I think there are 6 different Sura's where Quran talks about creation of Adam

Re: Facts VS. Reality

How does creation negate evolution? If creation evolves through the hands of the creator, how does that negate evolution?

Bear in mind my explanation from the last reply. Don't judge creation vs. evolution from the standard church vs. science point of view.

I am sure that you are keeping evolution in perspective. We are specifically talking about evolution as described by Darwin, where we all started from amoeba and became fish then lizard, then monkey, ape , human ..

That theory clashes with Adam's creation

agreed

Darwin's theory clashes with the Qura'an because of the inference that such a process proceeded on its own. I have nothing against the process itself. In other words I also believe that such a process took place, only that it was guided by God.
