Factory Refurbished

What does it mean when a product is flaged ‘Factory Refurbished’?

Exactly what it says.
It could also mean that it was returned by a customer and it was just repackaged. I think they are supposed to test it before packing.

It actually says:

Condition: Factory Refurbished

It means it returned to the manufacturer for some reason (defective or rejective) and it was refurbished by them.

normal lingo :

It has been repared and repacked and is most of the time sold for a cheaper price :)

I purchased a factory refurbished chain saw at Big Lots or some place similar about 10 years ago for around 90 dollars.

Hey..It still works.

I think if Factory Refurbished is safe to purchase. Means was re-manufactured by manufacturer specs.

Sometimes its the stuff that customers returned, and because they don't have the original packaging it has to be sold as Factory Refurbished.
