A few years back I was hired in a multinational, in a position for which I was over qualified for. I was told that a good performance might lead to growth in the company. After joining I realized that they don’t promote females to senior position(s). Also when I was hired there was another opening in the company which was an exact match for my skills and experience but a less qualified ‘guy’ was hired for that position.
Didn’t really like working in such a political organization irrespective of the fact that the pay and fringe benefits were much better so I quit.
