I do not quite understand what do you mean by facing the bat. Why do you need to do it.... Maybe then I could help...
Facing a Bat means: the application of a protective adhesive sheet which is applied to the hitting area and edges of your bat and is an excellent way to prolong the life of your bat.
thanx for any help
I am sorry I should have been clear the thing is I am still confused. Why do you need the "SLEESH/SAREESH" ? Is it a kind of adhesive? To myu knowledge the protective sheets that you apply are adhesive. Are you using any different ?
I have faced bats a number of times with a protective adhesive sheet and all i have done is peel off the back of the sheet and apply it on the bat. Never used any other adhesive other than the protective sheets own..
I think the one Zero_one is talking about is different then just applying sheets. You have to keep the bat dipped in saleesh overnight. Its used not only to prolong the life of the bat but also to give it a better striking angle. If you buy a brand new bat and hold it vertically the sides are straight. After facing it you hold it you should notice a slight curve, tha makes for better cut and pull along with getting the "stroke" for your bat.
