any of u go for facials? ive never had one before… but was thinking i should start getting them… whats the best kind though.. ive heard the herbal one is pretty good..

I got a “skin polishing” in pak…skin polishing is the same as facial but w/o the steam…it was kinda pointless…no difference before or after…then again ti was one of the paindu parlours, so i dunno…my cousins also had their makeup done there for their weddings and IMO they didnt’ really look taht nice, so maybe it’s just that particular beauty parlor…i’ve never had a facial, my mom says i shudn’t til i’m 25 :blush:

i do a home facial...makes your skin look really nice and clean glowing infact....used to do them every two weeks but havent done one for awhile now...just too busy with uni :( ...i dont know if they are good for sensitive skin though.

get a glycolic facial or a european facial..those are fun..except for the part where they start pulling out black heads with their fingers after steaming your face. facials can be done at anytime..they don't harm your skin..the glycolic ones really brighten me up.

I love facials... I get them done at least once a month... but there is such a huge variety out there.... just depends on how much u feel like treating yourself!! I have had them done at desi places where the lady just goes through the motions and it is more painful then relaxing...adn then there is my fav place in TO, Pink Avenue...their Yonka Facial is the best I have ever had!!! THey wrap you up....dim the lights and just let you drift away and seriously your skin glows......so definately go for a facial where it is about the experience as well as the process!!

I get mine done monthly. Like a total Devote.

My therapist is a perfectionist, she makes love to my skin for the 2 hours I spend in her comfy bed with makhmali banarsi blanket and red scented candles.

I am so lucky I have her, I started going to her ages ago, Now she has a selected clients list and doesnt do everyone.

I get glycolic peel done with every facial, and then to maintain the peel use MD with glycolic in it for my daily routine.

I get Environ facials every fortnight....they last about two hours but aren't the pampering 'treat yourself' kind of facials. Can be quite painful especially the pore extraction part but the results are worth it.

Sometimes at the weekend I'll slap on a mask while I'm waiting for my deep conditioner to work on my hair.....I use Dermalogica's multi Vitamin mask these days.

i've heard that they are really good for you. but i'm scared of all those desi aunties who do this stuff...what if they don't know what they are doing or screw things up? any way to avoid such things? kis kism ki aunti kay paas jaon for a proper facial?

yeah..going to desis is either a waste of money..or a one way trip to destroyed skin. go to a nice spa and let someone who is licensed to touch your skin do it. my mother goes to the desis for those shahnaz hussain facials, but they don't do anything for her..or they put bleach on your face without asking you. practically burned my face off.

sadzie do they have elle bache or ella rogue in Melbourne. They are awesome.

They've got only a few branches in sydney, some with spa.

hmm ive never checked LB... i usually go to desi places.. i will do some investigation...

b/w i cant afford anything for another 2 weeks neways... sigh

I think just to get an appt for ella rogue/bache will take you 2 weeks so try searching for them. Desi places suck big time. They dun know anything.

yeah i only go to desi places for threading and waxing..

i just checked the places up on whitepages, they dont seem to exist here in Vic... hmm

Not the Environ ones Belle. I barely manage to find time to do the 15 minute face mask myself, haha.
