Facials and Ramadan question

hey guys! so i go for monthly facials. i was wondering is it ok to go for a facial in ramadan as they do extractions and sometimes blood comes out would that break a fast? thanks in advance!

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

I am not judging anyone but I decided to avoid facials during ramzaan as it is an act of indulgence to some extent… try not to get my haircut either but I do not know the fiqh ruling on something like this…

I suppose you can ask they avoid extractions to be on the safe side?

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

go during the days when you cant fast ...

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

I was of the understanding that there would need to be rather a copious amount of blood flowing to break the fast. So unless you are planning to go to Sweeney Todd's place for a facial, I wouldn't worry about it breaking a fast.

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

^lol

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

I dont think its breaks your fast, like Rupay said, you would have to shed a whole lot of blood to negate the fast. You are safe.

Ask them not to apply too much pressure while extracting blackheads/whiteheads.. I blv it's alright..

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

i thot it's about staying away from any form of practice that makes nutrients go in your body ... food, injections, and facials too ... i mean you're rubbing stuff into your skin ... is that ok?
facial products also have things like vitamins and water and all ...

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

^ huh?

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

^ ?

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

blood comes out during extractions???
that never happens to me... wouldnt that be super painful?

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

Bleeding breaks the wudoo .. not the fast ..

also contrary to the common belief, injecting something in your body does not nullify the fast.

Rubbing some nutrients on your body could break that fast is also a misconception

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

lol if "rubbing something in our skin" was bad for our rozas, then doing wudhu with water wouldnt be right either, now would it?

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

it wont harm your roza , you can go for it

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

pf, it should be fine as far as i know

thanks guys :P)

what about waxinfg like bikini wax (getting it done by another woman) is that breaking your fast as it is showing someone else your body?

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

it is an controversial issue , it is not applied to all but in my opinion, yes bikini wax is somehow affect your fasting.

hmm yeah id really like to get to know. anyone?

Re: Facials and Ramadan question

Regarding bikini wax, from what i understand and Allah knows best, is that the area between the navel adn the knees is part of women's awrah so showing to anyone is wrong anytime of the year.

Again, i am not a scholar, for reference, please ask someone mroe knowledgeable but i dont think it negates your fast.

hmmmmmm … good one :hmmm:
but with wudhu we arent really rubbing it in … but anyways … it’s just my opinion and i could be wrong :hula:
