Facial Hair Removal

Re: Facial Hair Removal

HI..ABT UR BLEACHING IF IT APPEARS TOO BLONDE..LEAVE THE BLEACH ON UR SKIN FOR A LESSER PERIOD OF TIME..DON`T DO WAXING ON FACE..APPEARANCE OF SKIN CHANGES,MANY PEOPLE ACTUALLY SAY THIS..

^ Make a milder bleach. 1:2 ratio of cream to activator.

i use the sugaring method on my legs...i love it but it does cause bumps sometimes and one time i got a real NASTY boil that took weeks to go away and a tiny scar is still there. I cant imagine what it would do to the delicate skin on your face. Trust me...what your face looks like with the hardly noticeable facial hair is probably a HUNDRED times better than what it may look like if you get a scar, ingrown hair from waxing..
there might be people who dont get any reaction from threading, waxing etc but thats them ..doesnt affect everyone equally...do u really want to take the risk?

Sugaring can lead to very irritated skin and that too for a very long time.. just use a mild bleach if it bothers u a lot. Sugaring is great for arms/legs/underarms though.

Re: Facial Hair Removal

I have done Laser removal on the face. Its really good and slows the growth, but facial hair is really hormonal, that means you will get regrowth, for women you will get additional growth as your estrogen levels change, mainly if you become pregnant as you age beyond 40 etc. But its pretty good for a long time.... I use threading for touch ups about every 4 or 5 mts now after the laser. use some witchhazel and rose water as an aestringent after threading to prevent breakouts...

Laser is effective for coarse and thick hair..it's ideal for those that want a perm treatment for chin or upper lip area.. laser doesn't work well on the fine hair on the sides of u're face.

so for those of you have have had laser hair removal treatment, do they shave the area to be treated? and if so does it affect your hair growth at all or how your skin feels? because shaving facial hair sounds a bit harsh to me but do let me know your experiences as to how well the laser treatment went and how long did it take for the regrowth etc.

I have had laser treatment done on my whole face. I have had about 8 treatments. My hair is a lot finer now, but I still get re-growth :bummer: I recommend to you girls to only get laser done, if you have fair skin and thick coarse dark hair. It works really well on underarms, and bikini line.

I shaved in between all treatments, and a month before my first treatment. It didnt looked like I shaved. I was worried about shaving, because I didnt want to look like a man! But thats the only hair removal you can do in between treatments.

I used to bleach my face, and thread my upper lip before my laser. The areas I bleached, were very thick and blonde. I do not recommend bleaching if you have very fine hairs. I think its best to leave them.

I am now thinking of electrolysis. Has anyone done electrolysis? I have read reviews, that this is the only permanent hair removal.

I had finished a course of 6 IPL treatments for facial hair removal as well. To start with, tbh I didnt have thick hair, but I presumed the treatment would rid me of the facial hair i did have.

I finished my treatment a few weeks ago and i have noticed an improvement, but their are still a couple of light patches where their is hair and (cos i was shaving throughout) a couple of the hairs are long. Tempted as I am, I have left them, and am still considering whether to have more treatments using Cynosure laser, as the IPL treatment (which is what I had) isnt actually a proper laser treatment.
