^ i agree, im not overweight but have PCOS, anyway for my hairy sisters out there, there is a cure in the form of a cream called Vaniqa, you can only get it on prescription from the Dr, (im talking only UK here) Docs are not keen to give it out because of the expense and and will tell you to go away and try laser etc, however if you beg and plead poverty, also how you might be falling into depression because of this, so you might need to have anti depressants he may give in, and give this to you on prescription.
My friend has it and says it works wonders on her (as long as she continues to use it) she says she noticed the difference straight away esp on stubborn hair.

^ vaniqua only works while u use it and not all Gp's like to prescribe it as its very pricey for the NHS to do so, so it really depends what area of the UK u stay in. I used it it didnt work, and made me breakout ridiculously
it isnt really a long term solution and it can take up to 3 months to show its effects
try elecetrolysis i decided to get it done after stoppit advised me to, and i am seeing results

has anyone tried using vaniqa? I read that it slows the regrowth of hair, so that means you have to be removing your hair somehow for it to work. Any reviews on it?
Birth control really gave time periods of very slow regrowth of unwanted hair, but then again its really not something you would want to be on for a long time and I was taking them for other reasons (not for hormonal imbalance). Sigh, and oh yea I also had great skin while taking BC pills!

i for some reason have started sprouting hair on my chin, had a blood test done pcos is ruled out bt apparently i have a high level of testosterone..! my doctor has suggested me a herbal remedy called saw palmetto..havent tried it yet, bt she said its really gud, bt u do need to take it for like 3 months before hormone levels start going back to normal.

vitex agnus castus tincher is a good remedy for women with PCOs as it cures the root cause. All the harmones including reproductive system harmones are regulated by a master gland called pitutary gland. In PCO ladies the functioning of pitutary gland gets affected. Vitex therefore corrects the pitutary gland functions

i think instead of using contraceptives like diane or others the PCO ladies should use metformin like glucoghage, folic acid and multivitamins. these contraceptives just play havoc with the body. for the time being they give cure but after marraige ladies have to suffer as contraceptives stop ovulation.

laser infact destroys hair follice, i have good results of laser for facial hair, i have pco and my hair have stopped regrowing after laser

Hello to all, i recently diagnosed PCOS. my doctor prescribed me Diane 35. haven't started yet but was reading reviews on Diane 35.... that scariest thing i came to know is ... ''weight gain''................. i ve already gained few lb due to PCOS and i really really really don't wana get more ... please do let me know if anyone gained with this medication or if anyone can satisfy me on this ... am afraid to start the medication :(
