How many of you are heavy users? What is the main reason you guys use it? Do you think facebook is useful?

I was kind of a moderate user but not anymore (thanks GS)Just check news and stuff. Facebook is useful if its used in the way its designed to use as sharing with friends not for pundi.
I use Facebook for 2 reasons 1) stay in touch with overseas relatives 2) my business page/networking
So I’d say I’m a moderate user

Facebook is a glorified address book for me, its easy get your long lost friend's email/mobile number. And now that place is filled with uncles and aunties :(

I use facebook only for updates n all. Mostly the news pages.

It depends how beneficial it is for individual but it surely is not a waste of time.
I use it keep myself updated about my friends, family. More like we got uni societies, group projects groups,people who are at my course we have created a group for that. Facebook is very useful to me, i learn new things everyday.

I found my lost high school friends with Facebook. Also, use it to communicate with family in Pakistan.

I use FB quite regularly to stay in touch with relatives all over the world, as well as get in touch with school buddies, etc.

Facebook is great for social networking, sharing pics/ideas quickly with a select group of people, getting world news as well as different perspectives on a current hot topic, etc.
I don't personally post frequent updates on facebook. But the groups I've joined based on my interests do keep their pages current and happening. So, for example, I don't live in Pakistan but I can keep current with Pakistan fashion through facebook groups.
Facebook is also a great way of keeping up with significant events happening in your friends' life, especially when you don't get to catch up in person (either because they live far or you can't find the time to keep in touch with all your acquaintances all the time).
I'm really bad at remembering birthdays. Facebook makes it easier to remember birthdays and get in touch with long lost friends.
I am not sure why so many people are anti-facebook. Everything is good in moderation. And you can always control how much you share and with whom.

Found it useless but now thinks its useful to keep in contact with people who I dont whatsapp or text much, plus good for sharing pictures!
