Yep you are lucky. It is not necessarily true that those men consider that their wife is cheating on them or has loose character. They consider it against their cultural , family, moral and religious values .

I really have not been able to fathom how someone can just erase all the people they knew in their entire lifetime in one stroke. Also, meeting up with people who you dont know or being irresponsible (posting dirty pictures, etc) is just stupid. I find facebook to be a way for me to connect with people I havent seen or heard of in AGES. Like high school buddies, college friends, ex colleagues and people you would have otherwise never ran into again.
And again, its a great networking tool. People have landed jobs through facebook.
To a certain extent, I do agree with Jay that some employers use facebook as a way to find out more about prospective candidates. I have had people advise to me delete any pro-culture or pro-religion groups from my facebook because you never know who is watching.

Strangers? Yes!
I don't know them and facebook is quite private for me. I got pictures of me and family, informations etc. I don't want to share with other beside family, friends, colleagues and classmates.
My perp-use for joining facebook was to keep in touch with ex-classmates from college and not start chatting with any guy who I don't know.

No big deal... I have male cousins, ex-classfellows, ex-coworkers on my FB profile.... my husband has never even asked me about them (and yes, my husband is also on my FB profile and can see my friends list).
