I just got emails from a couple of guppans about some FB groups using pictures from my group, shamelessly watermarked as ‘copyrights reserved’ and their group’s names on the pictures; one group even has an admin with my group’s name ‘kapray shapray’ !! I just want to bring this thread forward with the names of any such group you find so that we all can be careful from them taking orders and disappearing, leaving the customers behind us being the actual owners of the pictures.
I just found about Almas Creationz where i pointed out about my pics and ofcoure she kicked me out of her group, deleting my post she even had sairaji’s work displayed and watermarked in her album.
one was saba’s collections but that was a couple of months back and she kicked me out of her group as well obviously.
please list up all such groups you come across who are using pictures from other’s work, posing it to be their own.

these facebook groups are springing up left right and centre. They seem to just post up either a whole load of photos they've nicked out of magazines and other designer websites or they blatently copy the pics of other homebased designers and claim it as there own. I definitely would not order from any site where i cant see the original quality of work. I have only ordered from our GS girls like Proto, Shk, sairaji and Cyma and those are the ones i will be sticking with. I think its about time, these fraudsters were exposed!

I can believe its annoying, why cann't ppl be creative and find their own names and make their pics, yeah I noticed that one group that is advertised here, has your origininal name, how sad is this.

Its just to inform u all that the admin to my group is by the same name that is ''Kapray shapray'' which is just a coincidence.. Its an open group and everyone can view the pictures so u can see i havent copied any of ur designs. I even msged u saying that th name is just a coincidence.. I also mentioned in my status update aswl as wrote in CAPS on wall that this group has nothing to do with ur group so kindly dont confuse me with that.. My purpose is just to do fair business and deliver customers with what they want.. Im sorry but i have my own clientele and im definitely not a fraud who would take the money n orders and vanish. MashAllah i have delivered quite a few orders and ppl are happy with my work and thats all i need.. i even apologized to u for the same name confusion.. U cannot just go around saying these things without properly checking the facts and figures.. My group name is different but i couldnt make a profile with my group name and since there was no other option i chose this name n that too randomly.. u even joined my group and wrote on my wall too whereas im sure u must have seen i donot have any of ur designs in my photos.. i have my different group and ONCE AGAIN i would sincerely like to apologize and clarify that I AM NOT USING UR NAME TO MAKE MY CLIENTELE.. therefore plz donot malign my name n make it sound like a scam..

definition of fraud here is someone who will take ur money and vanish.... how dou know these facebook groups do that?
there is nothing wrong in copying other designers, in fact all home based designers get their inspiration from the big designers like Hsy karma etc , so whats wrong wiht them doing it?
i do agree that each home based designer should put their own work up rather than anybody elses...but to allege fraud is taking it a bit far.

My thread is directed to groups using pictures from other's work , making them look like their own work. I even got emails from FB usersto confirm if the actual work was mine or from another group. As far as your group is concerned, I have no intentions to malign your name or make it sound like a scam. All I tried to clarify was that we are two different groups so that no one confuses one with the other :)

in regards to your last two paragraphs. no designer on GS puts up designer pics and claims it is their own work. it is always 'here is an outfit i made' or 'here is a copy i made'. these facebook groups that popping up everyday have pics from other homebased designers and claim it's their own work! even when questioned they say, 'yes! we made this outfit, this is our pic'. putting their logo on the pics and claiming they made it, copy or otherwise! that is deceitful and if that's not the beginning of defrauding someone, i don't know what is.

oh my god, on the almas creationz page on facebook, she has a number of pictures of prototypes work , one of which is my suit that she is claiming copyright protection on, disgraceful!!! Login | Facebook
Quick update: I commented on the photo on her group, she removed my comment and told me to “behave myself”, i then sent her a private message saying i could prove that the photo she was claiming as her own wasnt and guess what??? she’s kicked me off her group!
I’m sure she has copied the same design from T&M and I’m not really bothered about that but but to actually claim protos work as her own is very very very bad!

sairaji: can you do that for me? :D she emailed me that she will take off the pics as she has many people in admin. and they 'might' have done that copying from other fb groups (yeah right..and you cannot recognise what work is yours and what is not) and I joined the group from my istster's account (since she has blocked me and banned me to even send her a message) and all the pics from my group are still there.
she even had sairaji’s work displayed and watermarked in her album.
