I am not addicted to Facebook, i dont even care if facebook gets banned for lifetime here, My point is first of all these courts are so farig to declare ban on this issue when there must be thousands of cases waiting in line for years to get solved. These things only happen in Pakistan where a non-issue always gets picked up by jazbati awam whereas the most important issues lie on the shelves unnoticed.
Secondly…Anti-Prophet(SAW) stuff is everywhere…youtube,wiki,orkut,many other forums …what about that?..Is PTA going to ban those sites too? and if such decision is not taken what will people do?..blow themselves off?..and then straight to jannat right?
Swedish embassy has just gotten closed due to this protest…I am not concerned about closing Fb site or swedish embassy but you know how jahil our awam is…they are always ready to burn /destroy everything they see on roads in the name of protest against islam/Prophet(SAW)/Allah(SWT).
I dont understand why our islam is only limited to protesting?..it’s like islam has only given us this maqsad to protest protest protest in life.

i am not an ardent fan of fb…it wont bother me if the ban is permanent BUT the point is where are you going to draw a line?
You protest…they will come up with something more ridiculous thing to annoy you more than before…but no problem we Pakistanis have so much time in hand to protest protest n protest…what they are doing is wrong…what we are doing is being an emotional fool.

and please dont go all protesting protesting, there are alot of muslims who use FB and if they stop visiting it FB will recieve less traffic = less revenue for them. If all muslim countries can ban FB that can make FB change its policies.

Esix…Shouldnt there be an end to it? When will we stop protesting? Do you remember the guy who made caricatures in denmark?he got murder threats or may be got murdered…This should have stopped them to start something like this because they should know Muslims get violent/emotional when it comes to Islam/Allah/Prophet(SAW) But they didnt…because they know this would provoke us…everything on earth that goes against our beliefs provoke us and that is what they want…
This thing would not have been this big if the importance was not given to it…but some of our brothers are so dedicated to this jihad that they are clicking"like" button to join that page so that they can abuse them?..they must be enjoying right now because they wanted attention and they are getting it from us.
Khair what they are doing shows their maturity level and how easy it is to make us go wild and out of mind.
But this thing wont end here because we provide them fun exactly the way they want.
Just tell me one thing, are you in favor of Proxy system being used in Gulf.
If yes then this is just a sample regarding fb block. If such proxy is implemented in Pakistan would that be “unfair”?
If not then just think how the people in Gulf are using their internet calmly. (Only if know what kind of proxy system they are using)

We have to respect the minority religions in Pakistan as well. Temporarily banning it is just a dumb idea. Democracy in Pakistan is fading away slowly.
There are also minorities moreover Western people in in Gulf. Same question to you about proxy.

Actually I am glad that Govt took that decision. This is what I call a peaceful but powerful way of sending your message across. Much better than leaving a SUV full of explosives in Times Square area.
