How to use them? I want one but I don’t know when or where to use it to get that glowing look? Someone please guide me.
Re: face illuminators/radiance boosters
I use Soap and Glory's Glow All Out luminizing face powder. It's the first one I've ever bought, but I only bought it after reading really good reviews. I apply it on my browbone, top of my cheeckbones and the tip of the bridge of my nose. Some people also apply it in the middle of their foreheads to make it look bigger, but for me it looked a bit unnatural.
Re: face illuminators/radiance boosters
are you talking about a make up product or creams/gels that are used to enhance the quality of your skin?
Re: face illuminators/radiance boosters
^a make up product.
Re: face illuminators/radiance boosters
Its pretty much going to be used the same way a highlighter would be used.
You can mix it into your foundation, use it alone where the sun hits your face as well.
Re: face illuminators/radiance boosters
then whats the difference between a highlighter and an illuminator????
Re: face illuminators/radiance boosters
Benefit's (high beam/whatt's up) Bobbi brown's (Shimmer bricks) are really nice highlighters, I think there is one from Gurelain too, but I haven't tried it, as goes for the application, for myself I prefer the stick over the liquid since it's much easier to apply to the skin, I do it at the very end after applying foundation+powder, I use a brush (for the stick and the powder based highlighter) and I gently go upward all over my temple/high cheek bone area, even the sides of my nose when I feel like it, so when the light reflects you see the shimmery effect on the skin, always works nicely for me :)
Re: face illuminators/radiance boosters
Thanks so much pink'd out...I guess if you're applying a liquid one then it shoud be applied before the powder and after the foundation?
Re: face illuminators/radiance boosters
you can do it either way you like, under or over or even by mixing it with the foundation for an all over glow (have done it many times in winter ONLY since I do have oily skin)....but normally I like to dab it a little over after the foundation, just do it gently and it won't get smeared...you don't have to powder that area where the highlighter is applied, It would stay set onto the skin
Re: face illuminators/radiance boosters
Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks, I think powders are easier to use. I do love Benefits' Highbeam too, MAC MSF powders are great as well.

Re: face illuminators/radiance boosters
Use them on the high points of your face or mix it in with your moisturizer and apply all over. You can add powder highlighter on top over some areas.
