Re: face cream for daily use?

My children and I all use Nivea. Works well for us.

Re: face cream for daily use?

Nivea is thick, but it works for me. A little goes a long way. For a more lighter moisturizer, I use Say Yes to Tomatoes. I also have Ponds, which is in between Say Yes and Nivea in terms of texture; I like that as well. I prefer moisturizers that are bit more emollient to those that are fully absorbed and leave skin dry.

Re: face cream for daily use?

Cornetto Double Chocolate, adds a nice tone to your face (two birds with one stone) :)

Re: face cream for daily use?

i will use Nivea. it is the best.

Re: face cream for daily use?

You can use Olay products it is not thick and very light for the skin. There are many light creams that you can use every day like Nivea and other brands. I also use a sunscreen every day to protect my skin from the heat and sun damages.

Re: face cream for daily use?

I use st ives elastin collagen moisturizer. Its the only one that has worked for my oily skin. Highly reccomend it.

Re: face cream for daily use?

I think besides the brand of moisturizer, get something with spf - a lot of women don't do this and it can really help premature aging and reduce sun damage to the skin.
Also depending on your age - if you're approaching your 30's or already are in your 30's, consider looking for anti-aging moisturizers. Prevention is always better than cure and this really helps with fine lines.

Also, if you have an uneven skin tone, you can always fix your moisturizer and foundation/bb cream and apply it. It'll give you that even skin tone you want plus moisturize your skin. I personally use Vivier moisturizer, but it's not really found everywhere - I got it as a recommendation and am in love with it. But I change my moisturizer to something lighter during the summer months because I can't stand thicker moisturizers in the heat.

thanx for replies

Re: face cream for daily use?

I am 25. I hv heard that moisturiser is not good for oily skin. It may cause pimples

Re: face cream for daily use?

this is a complete fallacy......whether oily or not your skin needs to be moisturised and protected from the harmful effects of the sun's damaging rays.
you may want to use something light that absorbs well and doesn't leave a film on your skin.
I've been using dermaglow's 70 spf sunscreen and MAC's marine bright gel during the day and cream at night. No complaints so far.

Re: face cream for daily use?

How does moisturizer even stay on in the summertime? My skin is on teh dry side but so often I put it on and I sweat it right off :konfused:

Re: face cream for daily use?

I have used Say Yes to Cucumbers and liked it a lot during the summer.

These days I am using Oil of Olay...and I like it a LOT.

I've also used Nivea (soft) but find it too thick in texture so I use it only during heavy winters if my skin is crackling.

I've used Cod Liver Oil and find it great...you don't even feel it and the vitamin A does a fantastic job of keeping your skin smooth.

Re: face cream for daily use?

I see a lot of people are talking about moisturizers and you wrote you want to even out your skin tone. These are 2 different things. You wrote you need a face cream to use daily.....Why? What do you hope to get by using a face cream daily? What you want will make a big difference in what products you use.

Do you already use a sunscreen?

Re: face cream for daily use?

I often use coconut oil on my skin. It doesn't have a strong smell and makes your skin soft. Sometimes I apply it after nivea. It especially helps in autumn and winter against harsh weather. Coconut oil can also be used for your hair. It's suitable for any age.

Re: face cream for daily use?

i got dry skin n use Vaseline coco butter works perfectly fine for me

Re: face cream for daily use?

Unless a moisturizer (cream or lotion) contains some exfoliating or lightening agents.... I don't think that you'll get an even skin tone with it.

Try this: mix equal quantities of lemon juice, rose water and vegetable glycerin. Glycerin can be made from animal sources so that 's something to watch out for. If this ratio is too harsh on thr face...as in it stings...than dilute it with more rose water. Leave it on your face overnight. Wash off in the morning with your usual cleansing routine.

Re: face cream for daily use?

It is very important to find a good moisturizer that will suit your skin type. You can also use edible oil like coconut oil and olive oil to hydrate and moisturize your skin. Olive oil is a good moisturizer it can be also used in our hair. Coconut oil has Vitamin E which helps our skin repairs.
