Face analogy

Re: Face analogy

Recently, I attended a short course on Body Language. Facial expression was a part of it too. Its a lil difficult to remember all those lil things and apply them, but it works. It can be off the mark at times though.
Maybe we should have a separate thread on Body Language.
Can we manipulate our facial expressions ? In situations I get conscious of my facial expressions, well, in any unusual situation- be it excitement, anger, nervousness etc- and in order to try to control it, I mess up :bummer:
Due to this I’m a lot more confident speaking/discussing when people can’t see my face, such as, when in naqab.

Re: Face analogy

There was a chapter on facial analysis in Malcolm Gladwell's "Blink". He talked about an expert who accurately assessed the homosexual tendencies of some remote tribe simply by observing their faces. To him each bulge and wrinkle on the face gave some clue on that person's social and interpersonal behavior. Now I don't recall if this expert relied on a truly "relaxed" face or on an emotive one when coming to his conclusion. The latter is something that I'd say we laymen also heavily depend on when assessing someone (and can be somewhere within the vicinity of accuracy) and while most of us would like to believe we are good at analyzing the former too but really that should be left to the experts.

Which reminds me that I am an expert too, expert in zeroing on douchebags solely through analyzing the haugtiness (which has universal imprints on the face)....more so when they are MBA-armoured Ibanking douchebags! :D

Some hv gol mol face n r golu molu
some hv oval, egg shaped face
some hv lamba face
some hv big face etc…

Re: Face analogy

So nobody knws anything abt the face color n face itself :hmmm:
Came across this, lets c wht Aristotle thinks :

A very fleshy face shows the person to be of a fearful disposition, but a merry heart, and withal bountiful and discreet, easy to be entreated, and apt to believe everything.
A lean face, denotes the person to be of a good understanding, but somewhat capricious and disdainful in his conversation.
A little and round face, shows a person to be simple, very fearful, of a bad memory, and
a clownish disposition.
A face red or high coloured, shows a man much inclined to choler, and one that will be soon angry and not easily pacified.
A long and lean face, shows a man to be both
bold, injurious and deceitful. One of a broad, full, fat face is, of a dull, lumpish, heavy constitution.
A plain, flat face, without any rising shows a person to be very wise, loving and courtly in his carriage, faithful to his friend and patient in adversity.
A face of a handsome proportion, and more inclining to fat than lean, shows a person just in his actions, true to his word, civil, and respectful in his behaviour, of an indifferent understanding, and of an extraordinary memory.
A crooked face, long and lean, denotes a man endued with as bad qualities as the face is with ill features.
A face well-coloured, shows the person to be of a praiseworthy disposition and a sound complexion, easy of belief, and respectful to his friend, ready to do a courtesy, and very easy to be drawn to anything.
