Fabric , what the heck are these ..

Re: Fabric , what the heck are these ..

Nishat khadder is not stiff and does not make one look bigger.

Re: Fabric , what the heck are these ..

I live in Texas and made the mistake of asking someone to stitch me a couple of Khaddar suits by Nishart and Gul Ahmed.

The prints are spectacularly beautiful, I found the cloth too heavy for my liking, and was never comfortable wearing them.

Those who live in cold/cooler climates should definitely consider Khaddar. The khaddar I have is quite soft, and I feel it will suit many body types.

I have two Cambric suits by GUl Ahmed, which are my fave. I have washed them so many times, the colours are crisp and as bright as when I received them. They iron out well. I would say they are almost soft wash n wear type material, almost cottony , but not cotton. I wear those in the Texas heat and am fairly comfortable wearing in the cooler weather too.

Otherwise i am not much of a Desi clothes person, my wardrobe is extremely limited. I don't have anyone to make my clothes for me, and the few that I do get are hit or miss.

This I forgot to mention. I found Khaddar to be quite itchy, and developed rashes. It is a beautiful fabric, but did not work well for me.

Re: Fabric , what the heck are these ..

Does anyone know the quality of gul Ahmed winter linen and pashmina suits? Also what is the usual price for gul Ahmed winter linen and pashmina casual suits? I am thinking to buy from new collection. What other brands have good quality linen/pashmina?

Dont know about the ladies-wear but saw some good collection for kids (boys) right after Eid. Decent kurta suits were in the range of PKR. 1200-1400.
