Fabric Needed - Repost

I need to know the type of fabric used to make the dresses (western style) for summers. Name and any idea on the rates. The idea is to use western cuts/style and make them into traditional bottoms and shirts for working women (designs/patterns are ready). Linen or Arabic lawn did sound like a good alternative but my experiment failed.

I guess synthetic/self printed fabric at pathan shops should help !

its mostly jersey cotton material. i have also seen the linen type materials, the malai linen types

Ive seen alot made with chiffon type kapra (mostly synthetic) but with thin cotton lining

Thanks everyone. Figured that the fabric I am looking for is called cotton jersey but now the question is where to find that fabric in rawalpindi/islamabad?

Cotton jersey, georgette, a lot of those synthetic inexpensive fabrics are used for dresses just depends on the style

So far the only places I've seen selling cotton jersey or jersey in Islamabad are Pathan shops/ baRa markets like rashkaee baRa, Dubai baRa etc. in Karachi company area.....
