What a totally amazing video! Humor, class, sophistication written all over it. As much as I loathe Faakhir’s wannabe antics, and as much as I would want to see more videos depicting Pak culture, I just can not help liking the song - it’s infectious, and the video has been superbly directed by Asim Reza and brilliantly acted out by the whole cast, special mentions for Amina Haq who looks stunning!

No comparisons with that gawdy and totally trashy "Tauba Hai’ video, definitely.

it's a nice video, but what i wanna no is where u see him "depicting Pak Culture"???????? Yaar hes just dancing around with a girl......waise i find his liking of latino stuff kinda amusing :) ....much better video than tauba tauba , more classy, more fakhir-ish.

He's not - and that's the point I made in the original post (if you bothered to read it)...

Yup, the latino stuff is pretty alright, but that Salsa dancing in spaghetti top sequence was definitely going overboard.

and they were doing all that big talk of how they copied broadway and how many movies they watched to make this one video aisa lafh raha tha k bohat bare toop chaliee hai. Fuzon’s “Sawan Betoo Jaeey”'s & Shoaib Mansoor’s “Anarkali” were far more better than this video. Someone go tell Faakhir & Asim (Director) to comeup with something original. Srif Lerkeyooon ko expose ker k videos hit nahi hoteeen heen !

Hmmm...I guess they can get away with that this time because it's about an another era and another place, but I do agree with you they should have toned it down. * To their credit, they *have tried to minimise flesh-display by employing some clever camera movements [check the Amina Haq/Fakhir at the diner sequence]. Asim Raza's other Mahi Video, the one he did for Hadiqa Kyani was better - a more original concept which was deftly executed keeping in mind the norms at home.
