How many can you guys use? I can only use 3 colours 
However, I usually apply 2 usually.

perhaps u are asking about use of eye shadow in a single setting
well the maximum i use
base color
corner color
black corner color
red/copper crease color
center glitter shade
silver/white color just below the browline

Most of the time I also use 3 colors (lid, outer corner, outer V). But on special occasions, there have been times I've used 5-6. The blending is a PITA for me so this doesn't happen often anymore.
