Left eye feels like someone’s rubbed in mirch… took the lenses out, kept the glasses off, poured drops in.. still hurts

Did you try washing it out with water? If you can, hold water in your palm, and move your eyeball around in it. Or get yourself to tear up for a minute or two, see if that works. Insha'Allah.

ive been pouring drops and water in all day, also tried tearng up, nothing:(

Do you think you may have pink eye? I remember when I had it , it just started all of the sudden. My eye hurt so much and burned . I rubbed it so much. Next morning I woke up with a puffy eye lid and it was sealed shut. If you have pink eye you need to go see a doc so they can give you some prescribed drops.

Well don't worry...didn't mean to scare you. not unless there swelling and secreation from your eyes .

if your eye feels gritty and is red with any discharge, which is usualyy stringy you have conjunctivitis and can get over the counter chloramphenicol. Otherwise is could be just because you had an irritant on your finger and didin't wash your hands properly before you took your lenses out. or it could be anther cause of red eye, in which case it will either settle spontaneously or you'll need steroid drops from your doctor.

First of all, do NOT use water as far as possible. Our tears have a slight salt content and plain water could make the hurting worse. A better thing to do would be to use lens lubricant that you would have for your contact lenses though that, too, should be avoided if the problem is bad.
See your Ophthalmologist as soon as you can, or, if it is difficult to get an appointment, see your Optometrist and seek his opinion. If the pain is bad, go directly to the casualty ward in your hospital and ask to see a specialist. It might just be something as minor as viral conjunctivitis or it could be something as bad as a retinal detachment, possible in people with very high myopia (minus corrections.) Hope the problem is minor and that you could get it treated and cured asap. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

i had that for past 3 days. but i think it was because of the pencil liner cuz then i used surma and after that it was fine.

Ummm--for anyone who's faced a similar masla, Similason drops and chilled tea bags, really worked to help lessen the pain and heal the eye.

lolz it could just be an irration because of your contact lenses , it may not have been cleansed properly . i have had that far too many times to actually worry abt it

^ I still dunno what it was, and i’ve never suffered it since alhmdulilah…but I think freaking out made it alot worse since shadi was a week away
