My friend has eyes that are achy
What should she do?
open and close them as fast as he/she can until the pain subsides.
If she's been reading or doing something that requires her to focus on close objects, have her look in the distance, or like Kaleen said, blink the eyes. If the pain is still around, get her to a doctor.
i’d suggest to punch her in her face so she won’t have n.e. problems

place chilled used tea bags on eyes .. it would be quite relaxing... mayb she is just plain tired...
