I normally use the liquid and felt tip (pen) liners. Has anyone ever tried using the cream ones? If yes, are the results similar or better compared to the former?

yes liquid eyeliners work rle well i bought avon cream eyeliner and goes on light and u can then slowlyy build it up..i like it ,the pen are more probably more precise but you should deffinatly try the cream eyeliner

I use to use liquid eyeliner and it was great until i found fluidline by MAC its AMAZING!!!!!
u use it with a brush so u have to have a little practice with the brush ..most people get it the first time so dont worry its amazing!!! it last such a long time. its a small bottle and seems like theres nothing in there but trust me its enough to last probably the entire year!!! and it stays on forever!
i prefer cream/ gel ones too..sometimes i find that pen (liquid ones) wear off a bit patchy in places, whereas the gel ones look exactly as you applied them, even after 14 hours. i use MAC fluidline too..Hope that helps :)

yep luv the fluidline in blacktrack by mac too. its sort of a hassle to use so i just use MAC powerpoint pencil in engraved for everyday but I love the fluidline for parties .... it lasts all day and doesnt smudge once its on. i also got the mac brush to go with it and its perfect for a winged eyeliner look.

I tried fluidline in blacktrack by MAC today..it came out excelllenttttttttttttttt first time ...yahoooooooo oh i love this eyeliner.

I use Bobbi Brown long wear eyeliner gel - it's amazing and doesn't budge unless you remove with a cleanser. Wonder how it compares to MAC fluidline?

For liquid liners I use Prestige Liquid Liner in black. You could find it at probably any drug store or K Mart. I love this Prestige's is because it has a really good lasting power, it applies really really well, and it's very affordable. However, it took me a while to get the hang of it, but compare to other liquid liners like NYC or Maybelinne it's awesome!
And for regular liners, I use Urban Decay's 24/7 in Zero, and trust me it last for 24 hours! It's pretty pricey like 16 dollars I think? at Sephora. But it glides on really smoothly and it last long even on the water line. I think the only down fall about that product is that it's not retractable. I hate having to sharpen it all the time. :)
