Eyelash Curlers!

I think eyelash curlers are a girls best friend! They do absolute wonders IMO and really make a difference to your overall look! I was in Harvey Nichols today and came across the shu uemura curlers, every make up artist/celeb/magazine swears by them so I just had to get myself some!

The price?!

£19.50!!!

How ridiculous!

I purchased them nonetheless, quite excited to try them and to see if they live up to the hype! Anyone else used them? What did you think? I’ll post a review once I have used them and will compare them to my £1 eyelash curlers purchased from primark!

Here’s the link.

Re: Eyelash Curlers!

I have them....i also have a pair from H&M and they do the job just as well as the SU ones.

Re: Eyelash Curlers!

I also have a pair of these..have had them several years now,and they are still as good as when I first bought them.

Re: Eyelash Curlers!

(Was going to post about eyelash curlers, but searched the forum first hence am reviving this thread)

Am curious about eyelash curlers - in particular the Shu Uemura ones -

1) Are they any different to the cheaper ones you get?

2) Am thinking they work best for Far Eastern girls (with their oriental eye shape), most desis have almond shaped eyes so how do they fair?

Re: Eyelash Curlers!

KP- how did you get on with them?

Re: Eyelash Curlers!

well gosh if you have them, then try them and then you tell us if they make the aye look bigger or what....go on now :p

they look just like mine and i paid 3 dollars for mine, i don't get the price difference

umm this thread's like 1 yr old, i just noticed.

Re: Eyelash Curlers!

Totally Agree. I slightly warm up my eyelash curler with a hair dryer (when I have the time)...and then press down on the eyelashes of one eye...for about 10-20 seconds. Then do the same with the other eye. And then go back to the first eye and press again for another 10-20 seconds. Do another count for the other eye. I know...crazy system...but it gives great results. Even if you don't have time to use a blow dryer...just holding down for a few seconds and repeating does wonders. Then I take my mascara and make sure to apply from the roots and outwards. I recently heard from a makeup artist that results are better if you apply from the inner corner going to the outer corners. I used to do it the other way around. I like the mascara from Lancome for a more dramatic look...and I also like Maybelline Great Last...because it's lighter and you can apply several coats without it clumping. Gotta get a new eyelash curler...this thread reminded me, lol. The old one has become worn out.
