okay i just started doing my eyebrows…and when i went to get them threaded…they hurt like hell!!! i literally started crying, but went through with it…i thought it was because it was the first time…well the 2nd 3rd time it was the same…unbearable pain…the same when i tried plucking them myself…
i need to do my eyebrows, i dont have the eyebrows that i can just leave them alone and it would be fine…
what should i do? help!!!

Pakieyez, a few things you need to keep in mind :
1- Pluck clean every two to three days .. the shorter the hair the lesser the pain.
2- If you notice carefully each hair has its own direction .. if you pull it from the opposite direction , it hurts as hell ! so pull each hair out carefully by pulling it in the same direction as it is naturally . It hurts less.
3- I am not a big fan of threading , it kills me :( .. I use a good quality tweezer to pluck mine one by one ...
4- In threading it hurts more coz the hair dont get pulled out from their root ... with a tweezer you can actually try and pluck the hair holding it nearest to the root ...
5- If it still hurts , right before plucking , hold and icecube on your eye brow for a good 10 minutes .. when the area becomes numb, quickly pluck the bigger hair out ...

I think instead of threading you could go for the waxing option, you can still get as good a shape.. and it hardly hurts. My SIL cant take threading, but she waxes and she is fine with it. Also, if it is painful, it'll be in one sharp swoop 'cause the wax takes of multiple hairs. Just make sure that you get it done professionally... I like the warm feel of the wax on my skin :)
If the pain is unbearable hold an ice-cube wrapped in a tissue to numb the area before threading. There are some numbing creams that are safe to use around the eye area.

In the US there is a numbing spray available at sally's Beauty Supply for around $10. Some threading ladies use it on clients who have a hard time like you do, while threading.

wen i started to pluck my newly i use to hols an ice cube on the eye n then put eny body powder on the eye n it didnt even use to hurt ..... so put powder on the parts thun ur going to pluck
