eye makeup

does anybody know how to do double shade? like two different colors on the eye? And can anybody please reccommend good makeup brushes?

Re: eye makeup

kryolan brushes r v gud. etude too ok.

where can i find them? i need a really good expert to explain the two shade part!

Re: eye makeup

I ordered brushes through ebay. They are brand new sent from Hong Kong, set of 14 brushes. Its way cheaper than buying brushes from Mac or bobbi brown

Re: eye makeup

Do you want to know how to apply two shades, or what brushes you'll need to apply the two shades?

Re: eye makeup

i think blending brush and sponge shaped brush is needed though iam not a eye makeup pro

You can use an eye shading brush such as a MAC 239 (cheaper alternative: Loew Cornell 3/8 maxine's mop) to apply the two base colours. Then use a blending brush to blend the colours together such as MAC 217 Blending brush or a 224 blending brush (I don't know about cheaper alternatives for this, sorry).

My two cents... hope it helps

well yeah I need to know brushes and how to apply two shades as well with the brushes part covered now if someone can please put a step by step on how to do two shades (two different colors ie: pink and brown) going up and down and side ways as i think both methods are used. thanks mucho!

Re: eye makeup

ok heres how i do mine. hope it helps otherwise other fashionistas can help:D

u'll need 2 different eyeshades of ur choice. highlighter, primer (optional but recommended for better results), eyeliner.

start with primer or if ur using foundation then u can skip primer. cover eyelid and up till brow bone.

use beige or white eyeshade as a base if u like. cover ur eyelid and till ur brow bone

start with ur lighter shade like u said u want pink and brown. so start with pink and cover eyelid. blend real good.

now take a thin brush or q-tip and take ur brown eyeshade and start from the outer corner of ur eyelid and draw a V shape following the shape of ur eye. blend it into the pink base using a clean q-tip. apply pink eyeshade on lower lashline. apply highlighter to brow bone. finish with eyeliner on upper lash line or both if u like. and mascara

hope this helps.

youtube is your friend however if you don’t do it properly you’ll look like a clown, and youtube will show you a ton of girls that look clown like lol

i really like this british chick’s take on makeup:

also if you’re not used to doing this sort of a thing i think you should stick to cheaper shadows like LOREAL Hip pigmented shades, use a primer on the lid
(mac paint pot or any brand you’d prefer) and experiment with that. some girls just aren’t mean to wear crazy color combos on their eyes, it would be a shame to spend so much money on makeup and not ever get use out of it.

yeah believe it or not i've never done eye makeup but this is exactly how i read it in a book! except that they also used the darker color to fill in the crease! but thankyou!

youtube is good but it revolves so much around the products they used i wanted some cookie cutter advice that I can apply to any dress and occasion.
