ashiii, do you fill in your brows or are they naturally thick and full? love ur brows!! :)

Well naturally they're quite 'full' already but I do add some dark brown eyeshadow to enhance them even more :)

so how you girls do it? like couldn't you teach us please b/c the most i put on is mascara and eyeliner(rarely though) but i want to learn how to do eye makeup well. so do you start with moisturizing the whole eye area, then primer...it looks so professional....what are the steps, please share

yea i’ve checked out a couple on youtube but they are mostly white or chinese girls, i mean shades that would go with desi skin tones, i am lighter skinned for desis but still i would prefer to see how a south asian person would do eye makeup that’s geared more towards desi beauty

ok see this one, i really don’t like the colors she’s used for eye shadow but i wish she had atleast told us what brands she used and what products she was using before she applied them. this video is totally not helpful

oh yea oxfordjasmine, i remember i had watched a facial massage video of hers a while back and it was really good. I didn’t think she was desi at that time for some reason, good to know, thanks inspi

btw, in the video that i posted above, what do you think she used to line her eyebrows so they would look perfectly shaped like that at the end? she had really thin eye brows in the beginning. help me please!

i think she might have used black colored eye shadow to color in her eyebrows.

This is another gold look I tried for the wedding (I think I like this one better) I tried it with white eyeliner in the water line, then I tried it with black eyeliner on the water line, what do you guys think looks better?

I like both looks, but the best one is with the black liner.

What eye shadows have you used and what brushes? I can never get the crease shade in the right place to give it a smokey look. maybe im using the wrong tools as i dont really have a crease brush.

^ You can apply your eye-shadow right after you applied your primer. Some like to use paint-pots as a primer and then use their eyeshadows on top.

Whenever i apply my eyeshadow, i cant get the actual colour to 'pop'. Do i need to apply a base like a dark coloured paint pot similar to the eyeshadow unerneath?

I actually do it the other way around. I apply MAC paint all over the lid and brow bone. I only get greasy in the crease, so I only apply UDPP along here. Then I do the shadow.

My lid is moody :/ - it gets greasy at times and at times it doesn't normally i have noticed that it doesn't get that greasy even when i only apply face primer on it and then foundation but i don't get the desired color of the eyeshadow. And i use only MAC/makeup forever eyeshadows...

Thanks girls, I used NYX ultra pearl mania in a bright gold color, then a light gold color. I also used MAC’s “guilt by association” eyeshadow from the style black collection on the crease. Then I put some of MAC’s antique gold glitter over the lid, and then I added NYX’s gold glitter towards the inner part of my eye. I finished it off with MAC’s black eyeliner and Lancome’s mascara. I used simple drug store brushes, nothing fancy, but the crease brush needs to small and firm.

do you mind giving a step by step guide with the brushes.. mashallah i love ur eyes.. and do u use an eyebrow pencil or filler or gel? what do u recommend.. my eyerbrows are all over the place... even after i thread them they dont get that look. u know... :-(
