Re: Eye Makeup!

^i'm sure you do! smokey eyes look good on everyone

Re: Eye Makeup!

I have small eyes :S maybe I'm just not good at making them look big and intense and seductive by using kajal/eyeliner or eyeshadow LOL :P but you sure do!

Re: Eye Makeup!

I always thought small eyes were the best to do the smokey eye effect :hmmm:

I heard small eyes supposedly looked more small if you use the smokey effect :S maybe I was being lied at :hmmm:

Re: Eye Makeup!

Tayyebeh, post a picture of your eyes with nothing on them, and i'll tell you what you can do to make them look bigger

Re: Eye Makeup!

Both of my eyes? Or only a single one? And guys don't laugh my eyes look really small.

Re: Eye Makeup!

Jazakallah khair in advance.

Re: Eye Makeup!

hello ladies! i have a function im attending on August 8th. i'm wearing a Black/Rust colored Sari (will post pics soon). i was wondering if some of you could post some makeup eye looks that i could sport that night? i prefer a smokey, sultry look...but whatever you have in mind is open for grabs. plzzzz do post pics soon!! thanks in advance ladies!

Re: Eye Makeup!

okay so i have a question. How do i know if i have close or wide set eyes and why is it good to know, any importance in make up?
and im looking forward to the natural look too! :)

Anjana, try these out. I like the first video best. I think the smokey copper Rani Mukherjee eyeshadow is very pretty and will be a really HOT look for your rust and black sari. Copper/Bronze and are similar to rust. Although you can also copy the techniques shown in the videos with an eyeshadow color of your choice.

Re: Eye Makeup!

look: glittery smokey eye

tools: flat shader brush, small precision brush, blending brush, eye shadow base, matte black eye shadow, matte grey eye shadow, black liquid liner, black eye pencil, glitter, mascara

  1. apply eye shadow base/primer on entire eyelid and under the eye. (i used a creamy eye shadow i got for a $1)
  2. thickly line your eyes with a black eye liner pencil, creating a wing at the end.
  3. using a flat shader brush, apply matte black eye shadow where you lined your eyes and start blending upwards.
  4. blend the black eye shadow upwards until you reach the crease of your eye. use less pressure applying the eye shadow as you go upwards.
  5. using your flat shader brush or any small eye shadow brush, apply matte grey eye shadow towards the inside of your eye.
  6. blend the matte grey eye shadow with the matte black eye shadow.
  7. using a small precision brush, add a line of black eye shadow towards your outer eye.
  8. blend that line into the black eye shadow that you had already applied, while smoothing out any rough edges.
  9. apply black eye shadow on the bottom of your eye, apply grey eye shadow on the bottom of your inner eye, blending both colors together in the center.
  10. using a small precision brush, lightly blend the grey eye shadow on the bottom of your inner eye, towards the outside.
  11. line the top of your eyes with black liquid liner, and line the bottom of your eyes about half way through with the liquid liner.
  12. apply black eye pencil (preferably waterproof) on your waterline.
  13. wet a clean flat shader brush with a little water, dab some loose glitter onto it, and apply it gently onto your lid, a little above the eyeliner (don’t use too much).
  14. apply mascara to your top and bottom lashes.
  15. put some powder foundation on a blending brush, apply it under your brow and work your way down gently towards the crease of your eye, smoothing out any rough edges. do the same for the eye shadow applied under the eye and you’re done!
