Highlighting the inner corner does brighten up the eyes, but it puts the emphasis on that spot. If the issue is eyes being too close together, you want to the opposite so when you look at the eyes, the attention goes to the outer corner of the eye, hence giving the illusion of eyes that are farther apart. If you put something bright and shimmery on the inner corner your attention will be drawn to that area first, that’s what you don’t want if you have close set eyes, IMO. I think you can still use a lighter color on the inner eye area but don’t let that be the entire focus on the makeup, and you need to add darkness to the outer V. I didn’t read this anywhere, just something that makes sense to me so I can be wrong…if someone has pictures/tutorials to prove otherwise, let me know!
