my nose is a little wide and it makes my eyes look closer together (atleast in my head). I love black/ smokey eye makeup, any tips how i handle this problem?

^Apply a highlighter towards the inner-corner, taking a bit even on the lid.

If your eyes are closer together, the key is give your eyes the illusion of being farther apart. You can do this by putting emphasis on the outer areas of the eyes rather then the inside. Create a defined outer V with black. I couldn’t find an example of a smokey eye, but the following picture would be an example of putting emphasis on the outer eyes.

I found another example of something I did a while ago that would make the eyes appear farther apart, especially with the wing at the end.

^Wouldn't that just close off the eye? Highlighting the inner-corner, and not letting any dark shadow get in the corners really opens and widens the eyes, IMO. Eyeliner at the end or pulling the eyeshadow up/out elongates your eyes but it wont make them appear set wide apart.

Highlighting the inner corner does brighten up the eyes, but it puts the emphasis on that spot. If the issue is eyes being too close together, you want to the opposite so when you look at the eyes, the attention goes to the outer corner of the eye, hence giving the illusion of eyes that are farther apart. If you put something bright and shimmery on the inner corner your attention will be drawn to that area first, that's what you don't want if you have close set eyes, IMO. I think you can still use a lighter color on the inner eye area but don't let that be the entire focus on the makeup, and you need to add darkness to the outer V. I didn't read this anywhere, just something that makes sense to me so I can be wrong...if someone has pictures/tutorials to prove otherwise, let me know!

Don't be hun! I just cake it up before taking eye makeup pictures to make sure my skin doesn't look greasy and flawed! without it my skin is blah!

Hey I liked your eye makeup! It really fits to the shape of your eyes, i have more or less the same shape, however i’m not that talanted to do such a profi makeup
