Same here, she used to scare me as well! I was at a wedding recently where I had my hair in a bouffant hairstyle and I had applied my eyeliner in a dramatic cat eye. One of my uncles said I looked like Noor Jehan! I was like I think he meant it as a compliment

I tried out a smokey look, I didn’t want to use black so I decided to use purple instead. I was half way through when I realised purple wasn’t a good idea if I didn’t want to look like I had a black eye

i tried a purple smokey eye a while back too. but yours looks so much more nicer.
