eye make up for shaadi

assalaamz all of u

i was wondering is it still in fashion (in pak) for heavy i make-up?
cauz i was watching a prog on tv and there were they doing bridal make-up and i really didn’t liked it at all… the base was to much glitter en the colours were really dark (dark blue with green) and the lashes …don’t have therm’s to decribe…

soo my q to u all was do u know wht the latest fashion for the bridal eye make up is?

btw i have a really light skin so wht colour combo will suit a light skinned one?

Re: eye make up for shaadi

Heavy-makep is still in fashion, but I would not prefer too much glitter on the brides as they've so much jewellery that they need to wear, with glitters the photo will be too much.

Re: eye make up for shaadi

I would think heavy make-up is still in fashion for brides in Pak...although I don't like it when it's too cakey and layered on...I prefer make up to look beautiful but more natural and not white like a ghost! I'm glad make-up artists are going away from the whitey white white look

Re: eye make up for shaadi

Most people in Pakistan tends to go one to two shade of foundation lighter then their skin tone, that's why they look so caked up and ghostly,
If they stay with thier skin tone colour they will look amaizing, they eyes colour can go heavy, but not the foundation.

Re: eye make up for shaadi

eye makeup is usually pretty heavy in pakistan, ppl like to have their eyes played up and if its done right, it looks really good
i think since the jewelry and dress are so heavy, really light makeup would make the brides face look lost, but of course there is always the risk of going over board
luckly there is a whole range of makeup styles in pakistan now, from white cakey foundation and really heavy eye makeup to minimal makeup and everything in between
the color combo you choose for your eye makeup depends a lot on the colors of your dress, the makeup has to coordinate after all
i would suggest browsing through a few of the makeup threads here and picking out a few looks u like, then u can have ur makeup artist do a similar look for you

Re: eye make up for shaadi

I agree with what asimaan said..really light makeup would make a brides face look lost but another thing to have in mind is that its not a good idea to have dark eye makeup along with a dark lipstick..it makes you look like a ghost..either have dark eyes or dark lips.
