I have been searching around these forums but couldn’t find any thread on liquid eye liners which for Asians mostly are a mussst!
Which brand do you use? And do you prefer the liquid formula? I heart eye liners; the very black and sharp cat eye type. But my problem is that if I go for Loreal, the eyeliner usually rubs off in a few hours especially towards the inner tear duct. Also loreal’s slim marker type eye liners aren’t really dark enough. And the other formula has such a thick brush even though I love its intensity. Maybelline doesn’t have liquid eyeliners here in Pakistan, at least in Lahore though I have heard a lot of rave about them. Oh and I tried a few gel eye liners too. The crappy part is that they dry out so soon and are pretty expensive here in Pakistan! Also, they smudge quiet a lot unlike liquids Any suggestions as to which brand I should use? Really want something nice for Eid
I find L'oreal eyeliner transfers and smudges too much on me, plus I don't find them black enough.
I like Mac's gel liner (called Black track), the Maybelline version (lasting drama) is pretty good.
For pens, I'm really liking Maybelline's Master Precise pen and Bourjoise Liner Feutre, lasts me the day and doesn't smudge, colour is quite decent too.
Ahh guys none of these would be available here in Pakistan! And i tried the MAC one once. It was the worst liquid eye liner ever. It would totally rub off within a few hours. However for gel eye liners I do think Loreal’s intenza is pretty good and veryy creamy. Way better than Maybelline’s which dried up really fast. The smudging part bothers me but I guess that holds for all gel eyeliners. Its so weird they have all of Maybelline’s products here except for their liquid eye liners. That line stiletto something. I wish I could get my hands on to that one!
Try luscious cosmetics 'Catwalk Eyeliner' it's liquid and luscious 'Cream liner pencil' Apply some eyeshadow over the liner, it might stop the smudging.
And I think Catrice and Essence are in Pakistan too, they have cheaper but pretty good eyeliners.
im using the loreal one too.. It’s good but it kinda gets messy in this weather. There is this cake liner by kyolan. Try that, it’s really good with blending no smudging at all..
Thank you for your suggestions everyone! I didn't try out Essence and Catrice thinking they're so cheap so how could they possibly work better than Loreal lol. I guess I will try the Essence and Luscious ones. People usually like Luscious cosmetics. I love their eye brow kit.
Catrice and Essence's gel eyeliners have some really good reviews too, and like other gel liners, you have to smudge it in seconds and then it will stay like that until you remove it. I even made a look (the Rani Mukherjee's blue smokey) using essence's blue liner on the right eye and Maybelline's black on the left to compare the final look. The first ever thing I got from Luscious was their eyebrow kit and I love it but my mom got it in the lighter shade.
Oohh Essence has a blue liner? I love trying out ones in liquid. Will check them out at Al Fateh.
Haha me too! I got their HD foundation along with their eyebrow kit too. It's pretty amazing as it gives a light coverage and such a dewy finish to my dry skin but their shade I need to mix two together. I guess that's a drawback of most of these Pakistani brands. But luscious's eyebrow kit is amazing!
i just bought myself a bargain yesterday! Smashbox gel eyeliner for £9.99 from the cosmetic company. Dont know if its international but those in uk who been to bicester, portsmouth etc will know these places Sometimes if your lucky will stock amazing stuff at good prices, however normally the do just have the left over stock that doesnt get sold alot...
Ive been using Rimmel Liquid eye liner since atleast 10 years now if not longer- tried pens too but they keep smudging and rubbing off! Love the grip and the smooth stroke i get with Rimmel
currently using maybelline line stiletto.. i don't think i will be repurchasing it.. doesn't go on very smoothly due to the felt tip applicator and the eyeliner actually flakes off :/
^ It dries out so fast. Do check out L'oreal's intenze eye liner. Its much more smooth and creamy and so far hasn't dried out on me. Bought it last winter.
^I bought it 3 years ago, and it still works amazing. The key is to take a bit of it, and 'warm' it on the back of the cap, and then apply it. If I make no sense I'll post pics ^_^
I'm not a fan of liquid eyeliners so wouldn't be able to recommend any.
I use MAC's fluidline if I want a more dramatic look, but for everyday I stick to Urban Decay's 24/7 glide on eye pencil. I swear by that eyeliner. It's the only one that stays on my waterline and doesn't end up half way down my cheeks by the end of the day, and it's a really pigmented black as well. Love it!
