Good to hear. People are now realising that religious extremists are doing more damage than good to Pakistan.
Re: Extremists losing support in Pakistan.
On this very forum, some in their hatred of mush cheer on the bombings and killings of soldiers and civilians. That tells you the mentality of some pakistanis.
Re: Extremists losing support in Pakistan.
Unless the people of the FATA and NWFP rise against these A holes what can the Army do? The more they bomb them, the more the common man starts supporting those scum.
Re: Extremists losing support in Pakistan.
for me, army and terrorists are one and the same. both kill innocent civilians without any mercy and discretion. musharaf have no backing of the population but is still using the army to further his agenda and please his string-pullers in USA. extremists are going the same. the one with more destructive, bigger guns and dead bodies on his side will win in the end. its an endless cycle.
Re: Extremists losing support in Pakistan.
Has there been any incident of "public coming out and providing leads"? or is it just another talk of them losing support? I would rather read a news where a common man provides leads army/police to capture/stoppage of a bomber/planner etc.
Re: Extremists losing support in Pakistan.
actually no body gives a hoot about whats happening in different parts of pak as long as its not happening where they live. i’m from lahore and generally no one cares about whats happening in other parts of pak. same goes for whose in karachi or isb. general perception is that **yeh hamara masla nahe. **we have rarely united as a single nation on any front/forum to discuss the issues at hand. these are not new problems or threats. from the highest level of government to the common person…every1 is either busy filling up their bank accounts or struggling to make a living to support family. people have better things to do than to spy on others and then get in trouble for reporting as they’'ll be the first one to visit the famous drawing-room and meet 12inch wet chitters :halo: ![]()
Re: Extremists losing support in Pakistan.
Extremism is not a practice in Islam.
And due to the Extremists people are afraid to follow the correct form of Islam (following the Quaran & Sunnah). People only like to follow what is easy for them and not too much of a burden on them and making them too much of an outcast in the society.
If only the mullahs can stop preaching in their masajids the Islam that they are now, may be people will be motivated to pick up the books of Quaran & Sunnah and start to follow them and practice them as well.
Re: Extremists losing support in Pakistan.
Yes, you need visionary people like Altaf Hussain, Musharraf to understand the dangers of jihadism. Altaf did it long ago, Mush only understood after 9/11 phone call. Drawing rooms of lahore are certainly behind the times.
Re: Extremists losing support in Pakistan.
yeah right, a visionary who runs the a terrorist mafia, and thrives on bhatta collection, extortion, murder and terror...

actually altaf hussain , mushy ARE the BIGGEST dangers pakistan is facing today. jihadis are nothing when it comes to the love of altaf hussain n mushy killing innocent civilians for their own agenda and power.
Re: Extremists losing support in Pakistan.

Are you describing the feudal ruling class and jihadis?

We all know who is blowing up and beheading pakistanis, just because you live in denial doesn't mean everyone else does too. Similar situation is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan, I'm sure you think Altaf and Mush are involved their as well. The whole Islamic world is in turmoil because of jihadi barbaric terrorists while people like you are getting high blood pressure because of the few leaders actively fighting the terrorists. Your side, which is the side of extremists and nihilists will eventually be exterminated and generations from now, normal Muslims and Pakistanis will remember your heroes Usama, Zawahiri, Baitullah, etc. only as bad memories.
Do not be angry over reality of the situation. It will get a lot worse before it gets better, but the Inshallah the forces of good will win.
Re: Extremists losing support in Pakistan.
And once again we see the usual suspects getting all hot and bothered over a good news item that terrorists are losing support. This trend continues to intrigue me.
