Chat and Email has made it sooo easy :)
Re: Expression
no that is not right, even in chat and email it is difficult to write down your feelings.

To some extent it is easier to say
but why is it so difficult to choose who is the one to say that..
Re: Expression
i believe you dont choose, the person that you end up saying it to makes u say it...
I thought I was an expressive person until I met my fiance. MashAllah, he has a way with words. And I am not talking about cheesy lines or romantic dialogues and such. I, on the other hand, is expressive through actions. When I am happy, it shows on my face..I express it through smile, laughter, being crazy etc. So, phone and msn are certainly not good communication tools for me. Unfortunately, those are the only ways I can talk to my fiance..lol, so yes, in the beginning, he would sometimes get annoyed just because he couldn't figure out my mood:D

i agree with u on this :p

That is my biggest problem, I am not really expressive whenever it comes to express my feelings and affection through words. I always show my intention through my actions. But there are many friends who are no more with me just because my secretive nature. I don't feel easy to tell what I am feeling for them.
Re: Expression
The poster is not asking for just verbal expression. You can use other methods to express your love for your loved ones. For example buy a present , it does not necessarily have to be an expensive one.
Take them to a restaurant , movie, ice cream parlor, hang out with them and chit chat.
If you are just being verbal that will not fly either , I guess , may be this topic deserves another thread , I mean verbal expression vs gestures/vibes.

but still, the loved one would feel like, and want to hear you speak out your love feelings for him/her..

This world is full of contented people . They appreciate and love smallest gesture of love. They don't expect much . They are the happiest of us all.
Disclaimer: My comments , in no way, are meant to hurt anybody's feelings Also I am not being judgmental to any one or more persons.
^but the thing is to some people "smallest gestures of love" are feelings described in words. Like I said, I am the kind of person who mainly expresses things through actions, going out with my loved ones, presents, just having a good laugh with them etc. yet I still come out as a 'secretive' person just b/c I am so hesitant/shy is saying things in words. Even though I agree with actions speaking louder than words, it is true that sometimes it feels really nice to hear feelings/emotions being expressed in words.
Re: Expression
Hula i agree with you that words make all the difference and the gestures and things you do but some people are just no good at it. I am one of them, i am so shy that even though i want to do something for one i do not and secondly if i try i screw it up and instead of being a gesture of love or friendship it ends up annoying my friends etc

Well well, if you love your friends family etc then definately you would show your feelings in many ways. My common sense says that only lack of words can create problems otherwise it's not really hard to give presents or through many other action to show the love. You can show your love when your lovedone is in trouble or happy for some reasons. If you support them and share their times then it is your love.
Personally I believe that actions without words always work but words without actions are of no use, it would be just like a FAKE thingi. BUT mostly people give importance to the verbal expressions too..
