what does fehrist and indraj mean? i just googled defence day and found out its about the india-pakistan war. I feel like in war common people suffer and soldiers on both sides suffer. reminds me of this line from a song..“hum apne apne kheto mein gehu ki jagah chawal ki jagah …yeh banduke kyun bote haijab dono ki hi galiyon mein..kuch bhuke bacche rote hain.”..

D2LK aapi, Fehrist means an index or a list. Indraj karna means to write or note down. A loose translation would be, "add my name to the list of probable participants".
As I conceive it, defense day is about being and remaining united in a very tough situation and showing great valor as a nation. The challenges we are presently up against, are no less difficult than a war, and could only be overcome with similar spirits.

Beta yahan hamari zardari times ki urdu koi nahi samajhta, mughlai daur ki reekhta* kis k pallay parhni hay..:p
*Urdu was known as reekhta/reekhti a few hundred years ago.
