**An explosion has rocked the centre of the southern Afghan city of Kandahar.**A police spokesman told the Associated Press that a car bomb had been detonated outside a hotel, injuring at least six people, two seriously.
Witnesses told the news agency the blast had shattered the windows of the four-story Noor Jehan Hotel.
Earlier this week, three suicide bombers tried to seize the compound of the Afghan intelligence agency in the city, injuring 10 people.
