The suicide bomber of this attack have been identified. Hats off to the investigators to comb through and identify the guy and his mentors. In fact, Pakistani police have been doing a good job of catching many of these attackers ahead of time and also of identifying them and their group after their dirty deeds.
Not surprising is the fact that the bomber was a Mehsud teenager. However, the report of this Qari Hussain meeting him and brain-washing him to become a suicide bomber in a matter of days is a bit of a surprise. I wish the report had more about his and his family/friends activities and background in Karachi.
Good job indeed, we need lots of improvement in order to do a pre-emptive strike on suicide bombing/bomber.

This bomber, other identified bombers and other attackers arrested with bombs, suicide jackets, etc. are always Pakistani. All solved bombings and terrorist cases end up being a local (Pakistani) problem. No Indian/Afghan/Iranian/US/Israel agent/group is known to have been identified in these suicide bombing and other terrorist cases. All this talk about foreign agencies (RAW/CIA/Mossad) involvement remain unproven conspiracy theories.
There is some substance to fear of Talibanization in Karachi. There are enough like minded people for taliban to hide in and get support/recruits from.

Remember, the bombings that occur in India are also carried out by local Indians, does that mean Pakistan has no hand in it? It could very well that Pakistan has no hands there, but bombing carried out by locals doesn't mean there is no one behind them.
India have killed/arrested enough people to establish Pakistani nationals involved in terrorism there. Omar Sheikh and Masood Azhar were arrested in India and later released after the plane hijacking. That is not the case in Pakistan. I am not aware of any foreigner ever arrested for these terrorist acts. If there is any foriegn involvement, it is very subtle and involved only at funding/supply. The active participants are always (misguided?) Pakistanis.

You probably missed news about Ansar Burney getting some Indian spies (involved in terrorist support/activity) released or supporting their release.
Thorough and unbiased investigations are an all-time necessity to adopt, learn, and stop such from occurring. The perpetrators love it when a half a** job is done and the real culprits aren't caught.
Since then no Arrests were made in last 30-40 years.
