Salam all guppies. Its been a long time I have been here…
‘If anyone interprets the Book of Allah in the light of his opinion even if he is right, he has erred.’ Abu Dawud
Can anybody please explain this hadith to me? What I understand from it is that nobody may have a different opinion about the same verse.
Also if anyone can post a good article or its link about Fate and its relation with free will according to Islamic teaching because the amalgam of both is constantly being rejected by my mind.
Brother the source is provided at the end of the hadith. I recieve one hadith daily on my mobile. It was one of them.
Come on guys...............Don't tell me you people never pondered upon destiny and free will.
Please provide some links or sources. I will be really glad to see them.
Basically only (I am not explaining the Hadith, but just dealing a more general related issue) a qualified scholar with the necessary traditional qualifications and traditional teachers has the right to give rulings. The present day rulings are basically copies.
But ophcourse just necessary traditional qualifications and teachers is not enough.
You can read the Qur'an al-Hakim, and can try to understand it on your own, but avoid figurative interpretations. It is best to learn the tafseer and exegesis from a qualified traditional Sunni Scholar taught by traditional teachers who you know has the sign of the Blessed Sunnah of HabibAllah salalaho 'alaihi wa salam in him.
