Last night I was looking for something…and came across a box which I haven’t upacked yet since we moved…and I found 4 brand new, still in their boxes, with stickers, neutral coloured lipsticks!!
Unfortunately, on the box, there was an expiry date written of 2003…I opened the boxes and looked at the lipsticks, they still looked fine…I put a bit on my lower lip…to make sure I wouldn’t get any weird reaction…and up until now, my lip is fine.
Do you think I should use these expired lipsticks?? I mean perfectly brand new…and just perfect for my work. Or shall I just chuck 'em?
to be honest, if they've been packaged and not been exposed to the air or your natural skin oils, they'll be fine, cos that's what makes make-up turn weird...when it reacts with the air, and with the natural oils in your skin...so they should be fine!
well recently i was going thru my stuff n i saw i had some things sitting on the shelf for no reason as i dun use them and they have been there for 1-2 yrs...though they had no expiry date but i through them out esp cuz i personally cant take risks with my skin. I dun think with lipsticks it wl be such a problem....but do a test b4.
Thanks everyone. I put the lipstick on last night before going to sleep and I was fine in the morning. The lipstick doesn't have any weird smell either. Yay :) I'm so happy when I find things I've forgotten I've bought!
