expensive! for someone who's not well known. She was asking for 25.
While madeeha's sister was 20, madeeha herself 30, and ather shehzad's assistant was taking 20. But at least when you tell people Ather Shehzad's saloon did the makeup, they would know who they are, but not about maryam khwaja.
If she was below 20, I would've gone for her.
maryam khwaja's portfolio had great makeup pics, but a real bride I saw looked very brown and the dupatta setting, which to me is very important and should be flawless, was very tacky.
ill check siffat out too. how does she compare with their snr. artist and ather shehzad's snr. artist? is it true though that they have sort of lost their touch and getting complaints on base and lashes?
Ha ! So you want to go with a big name who you can proudly tell people who did your makeover,no matter if it is good or not ? Will it be more satisfying to tell everyone you paid 35k to annie even when the makeup she did was horrible? I have such a friend who got her engagement makeup done from annie herself and paid her 35k but what she did on her was UGLY. My friend didnt want a dupatta on her head and annie did the most horrible hairdo where her spray loaded curls kept coming on her face unwinding BUT my friend was still happy telling everyone that she went to one of the most expensive ones and ‘annie nay jo bhi kiya hoga Theek hoga’ type of reaction :halo:
Annie did a bad job for my wedding makeup and i hate madeeha's because they are dishonest. They charged 25k two years back from my sister for her walima makeover, only to tell her on the actual day that madeeha is gone for hajj and siffat will be doing it instead who by the way did a terrible job,not to mention they didnt refund the extra amount they charged for madeeha doing it herself .
precisely why it was so hard for me to choose a makeup artist. I wanted to strike the right balance between cost, name, professionalism, reputation, and my own personal satisfaction. That is why I didn't even bother visiting allenora (i also hate their makeup, repute aside) and was put off by the attitude problem and un-professional stories relating to Madeehas that abound.
in the end, I am confident enough that my makeup artist is well capable of giving me the look and finesse I want. Every one has their own perceptions regarding bridal makeup expectations and to each their own. I personally think "all brides are beautiful" no matter how the makeup is
hey you all :) hope everything is well with you guys ...
okey i need advice from especially you has recent experience form Madiha's salon here in alhore...i have finally decided tog et my make up done from tehre ...but confused wheather i should book an assitant or get the package with make done by madiha or siffat.? the thing is i have heard key they don't listen to what you want (madiha / siffat) .....so i don't want to be stuck with someone who doesn't listen to me .....help me :(
I recently got married and got my makeup done from Madeeha's I had the signature package from Siffat. My makeup was very nice and i was satisfied with it. When siffat was doing my makeup i thought she made my eyes too dramatic for the look i wanted so i told her and she changed it to the way i wanted it. Also at the end i thought my lip color should've been a bit lighter and once again she fixed it. So i had no problem with her not listening to me i thought she was really nice and cooperative.

totally agree, be very clear and assertive if there's any change you want and give them an earful about good customer service if they try to do things their way.
Okay so I typed up this whole long story, but forget that:
I got married last year and had my make-up done for both days at Madeeha's. My sister-in-law had her ruksati make up done there too the year before. All in all it was a good experience. I think everyone's story is different, and really its just a hit or miss sometimes. Just go in knowing exactly what you want, and make sure to let whoever's doing your make up know again to make sure there wasn't any miscommunication between them and the person that scheduled your appointment and did the initial consultation. (The lady that took my appoinment and did the initial consultation made me feel kind of stupid, so I wasn't very comfortable with her)
First day - Siffat
2nd day - senior make-up artist because Siffat had to go to Dubai and they let me know kind of late
Everyone seemed to love my 2nd day look and I payed less because the make up was done by a senior make-up artist. I think first day I wasn't clear on what I wanted so things didn't go as smooth, but Siffat Apa was understanding about a few of my concerns and tried to work with me (though she seemed irked when my sister-in-law said something because I was too confused and scared too)
Hi! I recently got married and got my makeup done from madeehas. Her senior artist packages are quite affordable and they do an excellent job.... She has trained them so well that I did not even feel for once that I was not looking good.... Also I got my photoshoot done from Deevees, Rizwan and it was so convenient to have gotten ready and have my photo shoot done under one roof. It helped save so much time and I was ready timely for the function... :)

Well madeeha has a salon in defence as well as in gulberg Lahore. As far as their make up is concerned. They do horrible red makeup. Siffat did my makeup and I looked like an angel .:-D
