We are struggling with caterers. This is by far the most expensive component of the wedding and yet so many of them want you to shell out all this money without giving a sample of the food. Those that have given us samples were either much too expensive or the food was really bad!
We have reasonable price quotes from Gourmet Caterers and Nazar Sons.
PLEASE if you have had any experience with either of these, post and let me know:
1 - how long ago?
2 - what was on the menu?
3 - How was the food? what was good and what was bad?

we recently contacted gourmet for catering on walima function and they are soooooooo reasonable...there food at resturaunt is REAL good i hope they offer same taste on wedding also...
We have booked them on 18th of november there are offering tenting, wall to wall carpeting, round tables and crockery....
one dish includes a salan(qorma karahi), a rice dish(biryani pulao, one sweet dish, one salad, water, kashmiri chai and roghini naan...
Same menu other caterers are charging from 800 onwards...

gourmet is charging only Rs.450 for chicken which includes a curry,biryani,roghni naan,salad,sweet dish, mineral water,tenting,wall to wall carpeting,round tables and crockery.

wow that is quite reasonable, can you let us know where you are arranging the function? Is it a hall or some open space?
And what about the stage decor? Who is reasonable in Lahore for that?

we are arranging the function in our society's park it is very well maintained and i have chose white tenting for it, because for 100 person they gave us option of golden, white and black tenting...
for stage decoration we have a meeting today with a vendor which is referred by gourmet lets see what he is offering i will share it by tomorrow Inshallah.....
I really liked the setups in the pictures the showed me so finger crossed :)

Hey Belledonne - how many guests at your function? That is less than they quoted us and it would be great to have a reference point for bargaining :) thanks!
