well dependes on so many things hinna , i dont see anything wrong in that if you can afford it so its fine..
I used to buy expensive outfits for my kids but now i dont buy some very exspensive clothes for everydays use ....jab bachay eik dafa kheal ke ayeen gaye too inn ka kia hashar ho gaa so it helps a lot when i keep that in mind :D
Baby Gap is pretty reasonable compared to Lord and Taylor’s baby dept. for ex. I say if you have kids and are working, don’t overdo it but there is nothing wrong with spending $ on quality outfits for the little ones.
Hinna it all depends on the financial status of the parents, those clothes are there cuz ppl buy them, why do they buy them thats bcuz they can easily afford them.. they prolly dont hve to think twice about it!
as sweetpie said baby gap is pretty reasonable, $30 for a baby sleeper is not bad at all, i alwayz hve quick look in the babies section where ever im shoppin, always lookin for stuff for my bros babies( not yet born) lol...
as long as they can afford it. everyone has his or her own priorities or way of spending money. for u something which might seem to be a waste of money might not be for somebody else and vice versa.
If one can afford, why not? children look cute in those.
Ager aisa he hay tu 10 guz ka kapra lay ker bachoon ko lapait keyun nahee dain jub tak un ka size thora stable nahe ho jata? that will work also. Why spend money on walmart cloths too? :)
1) when people do it even when they could not afford it. ever seen baby's in nike's in the ghetto..
2) when its not an issue of quality, but a matter of showing off....one can buy quality clothes without some company's logo printed all over in in bold..I always found that distasteful..but some people insist on doing that.

I guess the real issues are
1) when people do it even when they could not afford it. ever seen baby's in nike's in the ghetto..
2) when its not an issue of quality, but a matter of showing off....one can buy quality clothes without some company's logo printed all over in in bold..I always found that distasteful..but some people insist on doing that.

I agree Fraudz...but my question is do u think its ok to spend that kind of money on clothes? (if u r financially secure)
well.. my parents gave away all our clothes (all the top quality n expensive ones) to our relatives who cudnt afford it or to ppl who r very poor. we still give away our clothes to ppl we know cant afford to buy clothes.
Suroor, I guess it's a different story if you can't afford to buy younger kids new clothes, but parents who are financially stable should not expect their kids to wear hand me downs all the time.

Sadi, your other half grew up wearing hand me downs. Still want him now?
like some others said, if u have the money then y not?
I personally find 30 bucks for a sleepr not mutch.
I mean it s not like u buy a sleepr every day/week/month :)

you know, it starts depending on people's perspectives. what may be okay for one person may not be okay for another..
now someone may say, is it okay to spend to buy a lexus vs. a civic..both do the job...or live in one area as opposed to another area.
How many people buy lunch everyday, and how many pack it from home..pick one airline over another..or get a more expensive item off the menu when there were cheaper items available..
none of these things last..
Now, do I think it is okay.. I dont know..in my view there are better uses for that same amount of money..and for my kid, whereas I may splurge on some nice outfits, I would rather out that money to other uses..college fund,, trust fund, car fund .. or I may look beyond my own family..if by not spending an extra couple of hundred each year i can use that money to help a cousin or a kid get better education, i would do that..
no one has unlimited money..excluding bill gates, Madhnee, and Oprah etc..
you have to make choices..and the choices vary considerably by our financial ability, personal perspectives and choices, and the circumstances surrounding us.
