ladies n moms n moms-to-be…
need to borrow ur brains! need info on where to purchase VERY unique gifts for an expecting mommy. perhaps something u gave as a gift to someone very special.. or something wonderful u got for urself!
even if u can tell me abt one of those ftd kinda websites.. like i dont have to walk to the store to get it.. im open to online shopping too. ive looked at a tona things.. just needed smthng different n smthng sweet

I got the most beautiful "nursing top" from a store called Motherhood, they have some really gorgeous things...I wear this top to this day, it doesnt look like a nursing or maternity top, its very unique and beautiful. They also have things that a typical new mom wouldnt usually go out and get for herself - like a nightime comfort nursing bra. Woth a look-see esp since they deliver internationally

The best thing is to ask her what she would like you to get for her.
Chances are she'll appreciate your thoughtful gesture and ask you to get her something she already doesnt have.
Or a gift certificate from a Baby shop that would help her get something that she wants.
My all time favourite is a nappy bucket filled with all sorts of assorted baby things, like bibs, pacifiers, bottles, wipes, nappies etc and tied all with a cute bow

I say go with the gift certificate, you can never go wrong with that. Is the mother registered for any baby registry? Try that. If not stick to essentials, try diapers in larger sizes as those are much needed. Also for the mother, maybe take her out to the salon for a makeover type deal, maybe manicure/pedicure/facial so she can feel better & invigorated?

I like the idea of something special for the mommy. New moms always get all kinds of gifts for the baby, yeah? Its kind of rare that someone thinks of just the mom and gives something special just for HER. Gift certificates are really great but really not just before or just after delivery - I mean she really wont want to be out shopping for that something special, she'd just use it for something that she really needs at that point, yeah?

with all of the cravings that expectant mommys have, I wonder what kind of snacks I could send my pregnant SIL. Chocolate is a no no right since that has caffeine and she was really careful about not eating that during her first pregnancy.
I wanna send something like a care package with a cute teddy bear, some snacks that she might like and maybe a gift certificate. Hard to decide what snacks though

cheese! and nice crackers, maybe some spicy beef sausages. spreads, there are these nice veggie/creamy/onion types of spreads. and heck, ONE slice of a really great chocolate cake....I'd get all completely undone if I didnt get either a hunka choc cake or a choc sundae every day when I was pg. you gotta give in sometimes yeah?

oh yea, actually my SIL doesn’t eat beef but thanks for the other ideas and i’m thinking that a little chocolate is ok during pregnancy right?

myohMY!!! choc is the BEST when pg!!! I NEVER eat candy or chocolate, I'm really a steak and potatoes and cheese type of person. But when I was pg, I HAD to have chocolate every day. I actually went stalking off in search of the grocery store manager one day when they didnt have my chocolate cake OR chocolate ice cream!!! How COULD a store run out of these necessary essentials I wanted to scream at him lol!! as I throttled his neck lol!!! I calmed my butt down before I actually got to the customer service desk thank goodness. But yeah, chocolate is a necessity when pg.
