**A US judge in Virginia has set a 10 November execution date for the man who masterminded the 2002 sniper attacks on Washington.**John Allen Muhammad was sentenced to death for the killing of Dean Meyers, one of 10 people shot to death during the shooting spree in the capital.
Muhammad’s lawyer, Jonathan Sheldon, said he would appeal to the US Supreme Court.
He also said he would ask Virginia Governor Timothy Kaine for clemency.
