What are some the wierdest excuses you used or your team used at work to get two -three hours off to attend a job interview?

I usually fake the 'flap-jack 2 step' aka diarrhea. I also have a special skill, I can throw up at will.

Twice that's happened and both times I called in sick, you're better off enjoying the whole day off rather than look for excuses at work.

no no no...not at all...what happened was that i immigrated to canada and soon became a student. i did my masters under this prof who, upon my completion of the degree, accepted me for my PhD program. as soon as i finished my PhD, she offered me a job as a post doc researcher. she had grant money so it wasn't a problem.

i've been laid off since November and i'm now finally going back to work on Feb 1. a big relief atlast! Allah ka shukr hai...alHamdolillah.**

I’ve always been a ‘sicky’ person, I suffered bad car sickness as a child, we could not go anywhere without a plastic bag for me to throw up in. It takes about 2-3 mins to bring on the sickness, I think about the awful smell of pork, been force feed bacon, have a few flash backs of the film ‘hostel’ and BAM! I’m heaving into the bin by my desk.

lol I remember this one time I had a slight cough, so I went to work and started exaggerating it, and threw in some wheezing and breathing difficulties too at which my manager told me to go home. When I went home my cough ACTUALLY got a lot worse and I really started having trouble breathing, I got struck down with a fever, chills and what not and was bedridden for three days. What started out as an excuse turned into the worst three days ever.
