I'm very surprised to hear so many people wanting proofs and trying to support these celeberities. Why do you think that these celebreties are angels?? Maybe you folks are disconnected from what is happening in Pakistan?? How young generation and every celeberity wants to act like a western star.
Often I feel that Pakistani generation that is raised abroad is more pakistani and muslim then the same generation that is raised in Pakistan. Ok, we may not pray or fast, but we do have far more ethics and respect then these celebrities will ever.
Well, anyone can just claim in such minor interviews (video conveniently left out) that they were drunk. I mean its just another one of those 3 minute audio interviews which ali azmat gives out to the press walaz. These are all lies and rumours, and same goes for that Junaid Jamshed and Hadiqa story.

Mr. Boston, I think you are disconnected from Pakistani Entertainment. Last time I checked, Salman Ahmed was raised in NY. So according to your theory, he should be more Muslim and Pakistani??

like ppl have said earlier in the thread, if ppl think these celebririties are not who they seem to be , and in that keep the public under an illusion, then everybody must as a protest stop buying their albums! after all it's the fans who make or break a celebrity, and if the celebrity is not who the fans think he/she is, then what's the point in being their fan and making them a celebrity and thus filthy rich with our money so that under the intoxicating influence of their public profile they could get wild?
i havent seen anyone of these people do any of the stuff mentioned here by myself, so this is just a general comment and not condemnation. may Allah keep all of us on the guided path.
First, never judge a book by its cover. I know muslims that live a double life very successfully. I know Paki boys and girls who drink and smoke and their families have no clue. They are very good at dividing their life. I also know some muslim men and women who drink and smoke openly, but their ethics are far better and superior than others. I also know some religious people who will do anything to get a dollar out of you. We all make choices and we have to live by them. As long as we don't harm some else ..... hey do what ever you like, its your life, your choice, I can care less.
I do also believe that a celebrity getting drunk is no different than a young man in old lahore getting high on heroin or a posh defense society girl popping ecstasy pills. IT IS ALL WRONG .. regardless of your religious or social beliefs.
Second, as far as celebrities concerned it's a different story. In our Paki society, our your generation has no role models. Kids look up to these singers and performers, who else they are going to look up to, our corrupt politicians?? As a role model there is certain image you must carry and you must be very careful with all your public life. I can care less if any of these celebrities were getting drunk or taking part in an orgy fest. As long as they do it behind their closed doors. When they do such thing in public, they are sending a message to our young generation .. emulate us ... its OK to do all these things.
Not to forget that when these performers are abroad they are also acting a Pakistan's ambassadors. They have a responsibility to their country also, they must behave and act in a dignified and PC manner. They must propagate a positive image of Pakistan at all times.
If life was without choices, there would be have no fun at all .....
